After his campaign staff seems to have tweeted out a very anti-Semitic meme featuring Hillary Clinton next to a Star of David on top of a pile of money, Donald Trump has been adamant that the imagery wasn’t anti-Semitic at all. Instead, he’s claiming that it’s a “sheriff’s star” because he believes Hillary should be a sheriff, so apparently, the image fit perfectly.
When discussing the matter with Trump over the phone, he told Free Wood Post:
“I’m really tire of this disingenuous media always trying to shine me a racist light. It’s simply not true. I’m great with the blacks, the browns, the yellows, the whites, the reds, and even the in-betweeners. How could anyone think I’m racist or anti-Semitic. That’s just ridiculous. That’s obviously not a Star of David. I was obviously saying Hillary would make a terrific Sheriff, the best. She should really being doing that instead of running for president. It’s unbelievable how much we can’t trust the media these days to interpret what we’re trying to get across, and that is that we promote Sheriffs. Hillary would be best Sheriff of all the Sheriffs that ever were. So, while she does that, I can be ruler of America.”
Something tells us that he’s not telling us the truth, but that’s for you to decide.
