Ted Cruz Overheard Humming Canadian National Anthem In Men’s Room Of Iowa Deli

In what can only be seen as a startling turn of events, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz may be pulling a fast one over on the voters of the United States. For years now, he’s been explaining how much he loves the United States and the US Constitution, as well as how he’s renounced his Canadian citizenship, but maybe he was a little too eager to make sure we believe him.

At Old Man Pete’s Deli in Ames, Iowa, Ted Cruz went to use the restroom after speaking to a crowd of supporters there to see him. Little did Cruz know, but Robbie Turnblatt, a local bartender, was in one of the stalls. Turnblatt didn’t know what to do so he just froze as Cruz did his business. However, it’s what he heard Cruz humming and singing to himself that caused him to come forward to Free Wood Post:

“I was in there, and I didn’t want to just step out, because how embarrassing would that be to meet one of my heroes after just taking a dump. So I stayed in the stall real quiet like so he couldn’t hear me. Cruz definitely didn’t know I was there, because he started humming a song that sounded real familiar. After a few lyrics I realized it was “O Canada” the Canadian national anthem. I couldn’t believe my ears. There he was singing:

“O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free! From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.”

It’s like he was trying to pull a fast one over on us. Like he’s some super secret Canadian spy sent here on a mission. I don’t think I can vote for him anymore. Not after this. He doesn’t love this country. Not one bit. It’s all an act.”

We here at Free Wood Post were just as shocked to hear this news. It will be interesting to see what affect this has on the Cruz campaign. He’s been trying so hard to appear like a true and loyal American, but this may surely put a damper on things.
