Republicans Hold Pro-Cancer Rally On National Mall Just Days After Obama Calls For Cure

During President Obama’s final State of the Union he called upon Vice President Joe Biden to lead the charge in finally curing cancer once and for all. It’s an initiative that everyone in the country can get behind as all of us have been affected by cancer in some way. Whether it be a friend, a family member, or even themselves.

However, not everyone is enthusiastic about curing cancer. Defying the president, yet again, Congressional Republicans are utterly outraged that he would want to put an end to such a money-making disease for the Pharmaceutical industry. To publicly display their outrage, several key Republicans in Congress held a rally on the National Mall and invited all pro-cancer individuals to attend.

As it turns out, only a handful of Pharma executives attended and some guy named Flopsy who heard there were going to be free snacks. This didn’t deter several Republicans from speaking against the president, however. After all, if the president says something is good and we need to do it, it must be bad and we should do the opposite.

After the rally, a few key representatives met briefly with the Pharma executives to collect their checks and everything seemed to return to business as usual.
