When Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner announced he was leaving his Speaker role and pulling out of Congress altogether, he failed to realize the mess he’s leaving behind.
Not only did he pull out too soon, but there are still tissues scattered all over the floor by his chair in the House of Representatives from all his years presiding over Congress. It’s really a sight to behold.
Now, Congress is left with the job of finding someone to fill the hole that Boehner has left in House leadership. Rumors are flying that several other Congressmen are up for the role of sloppy seconds after the amount of turmoil that has been plaguing the House since Boehner took the reins.
No one is more disgusted by all of this than former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi. She told Free Wood Post in an exclusive phone call that she “has never seen this amount of disrespect towards the House floor and the mess he’s created won’t nearly be cleaned up in time to do anything of any substance. All work up until this point has been hard, and now it’s all going to go flaccid as the coming months rear their head into the upcoming election.”
Questions are still rising as to why Boehner would pull out without sufficient warning to those he would be creating the mess for, but he seems delighted in the after glow of his announcement.
