FRANKFORT, Kentucky – Gov. Steve Beshear announced the state’s new tourism campaign to bring in more money into Kentucky and inject their economy with much needed revenue.

The plan has the backing of Senator Mitch McConnell and Senator Rand Paul. They are spending millions on billboards, television and radio commercials. The new slogan is “KY is for lovers” and has met with great interest in places like L.A., San Francisco, New York, Boston, Miami and Seattle. The Kentucky Tourism Board has also printed and distributed hundreds of thousands of bumper stickers to advertise their new slogan.

James Billings of Louisville, Kentucky had this take on the new tourism slogan, “I can honestly say that KY is for lovers is the perfect slogan for the state and there aren’t any two people who exemplify that slogan more than our two Senators, Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul.”

Bob Long of Frankfort, Kentucky had this input, “Not only does it reflect our state’s relationship with everyday working folks it also reflects our Senators relationship with American people, I could not think of a better slogan for Kentucky.”

Most of the everyday people we talked to in Kentucky seem to be in agreement and  it will be interesting to see how well the new slogan works for Kentucky but we can be sure of one thing, no two people in Kentucky or America truly stand for everything KY truly represents more than Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul.
