A newly released survey by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life extensively examined current attitudes of U.S. Roman Catholics on various issues of the day. The study found that nearly 90% of U.S. Catholics morally oppose things they personally find, as one subject put it, “pretty damn awesome.”
Among those subjects they found morally offensive but do “as much as possible” were pornography, using the Lord’s name in vain, premarital sex, birth control, skipping church to watch football, and eating meat on Fridays.
They also called out sodomy as being against God’s law and a black mark on sinners everywhere. Until they were told that this included anal sex, oral sex, hand jobs, masturbation…and every respondent stopped the survey right there.
