Government Shutdown Closes George W. Bush Library, Tens of People Outraged

The United States federal government shutdown, which began at midnight Tuesday morning, has sadly forced the closure of the George W. Bush Presidential Center. The center is home to the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum and the Bush Institute, whatever that is.

Visitors to the Center were not pleased. A crowd of nearly tens gathered around the closed front gates. A smattering of discontent was barely perceptible, but Free Wood Post reporters were on the scene.

“It was between this and the Rodeo Clown Museum in Waco. I guess we chose poorly.”

“Damn it. I usually take a shortcut through this building to get to class. Plus, it has a really clean bathroom.”

“What an absolute waste. Also, I’m mad about the government shutdown.”

“My dad claims that my uncle George was once the President and that he had proof,” said a young boy. “But who would believe that, really? I guess this is another one of his bad jokes.”
