New Fox and Friends analyst Elisabeth Hasselbeck is reportedly elated about her move from ABC’s The View to the Fox News morning standard. She sat down with Free Wood Post recently to let everyone know how she’s been doing.
“It’s a blast. Really. I can’t say enough how great of a move this has been. On The View, I was always a bit insecure about my intelligence and grasp of world events. You can’t sit on a panel with foreign policy heavyweights like Sherri Shepherd and hope to bring anything more intelligent to the table. Plus, there was also a scary dark lady with dreadlocks on the far side of the table. I don’t know who she was, but you better believe I kept my purse tight when she was around!
But anyway, it’s totally different here. I can say any old thing here and not worry the slightest bit that I’ll look foolish. I mean, the other guys are Steve Doocy and… that other guy. In fact, I don’t even have to think up my own stupid shit to say anymore. Here at Fox, they give us all a piece of paper with my views already typed out.
We had that difficult Navy Yard shooting and there weren’t a lot of facts known at the time and gun violence really is a difficult issue, so I didn’t really have anything to say, but then there it was – Bam! – that sheet of paper. “Call for a Violent Video Game Registry!”
Hasselbeck has already received a significant salary increase since her Tuesday performance.
