With Australia being among some of the first to see what happens on the apparent “Doomsday” according to the Mayan calendar, citizens report seeing a gigantic orb in the sky which hurts to look directly at and it seems to emit heat.
No injuries have been reported, but as the day progresses the heat seems to have gotten more intense and the orb itself has gotten brighter and higher in the sky.
Beachgoers were warned to wear hats and protective clothing and/or lotion. Protective eyewear was also recommended.
