"Paul" "Ryan" "rape"

In a recent Fox News interview, Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan expressed his feelings on the subject of rape. He sat down with Ann Coulter in a 20 minute interview at a Chic-Fil-A restaurant in Ohio. When asked, “What constitutes legitimate rape?” Ryan responded. “It’s difficult to define rape in one word. There are many situations that rape isn’t rape. In order to be classified as rape, the offender has to clearly state his or her actions. In other words rape is only rape, if the offender specifies he’s raping you. If he does not specify that, then it’s just casual sex. Nothing more, nothing less.”

Republicans from all over the country came out to state that they support Ryan’s definition. Republican Senator Jon Kyl told supporters today in Arizona that this definition by Mr. Ryan should be “The view of true Americans” and “Should be adopted as the official platform of the Republican Party.”

On a Fox News poll, 95% of viewers support Mr. Ryan’s description while 4% were undecided.
