Bachmann Outraged by Buffett Rule’ Impact on Old Country Buffet Customers

Republican Presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann told Meet the Press on Sunday that President Obama’s proposed “Buffet Rule” would lead to the FBI “raiding Old Country Buffet restaurants and taking tiramisu right out of the hands and mouths of mentally retarded children.”

Meet the Press moderator David Gregory was quick to inform Bachmann that Obama’s plan referred to billionaire Warren Buffett, who spells his name with two t’s, and that the Buffett Rule was intended to bring the tax rate for wealthy Americans in line with most other middle class taxpayers.

But Bachmann stood by her claims of federal involvement in all-you-can-eat buffet restaurants.

“Well, sure, I’m no college professor and it’s not like I’m a tax attorney or anything,” Bachmann told Gregory. “All I know is a 340 pound man came up to me yesterday, and he broke down crying after he heard that there will be a federal two-serving limit of Snow Crab Clusters at Pagoda West Buffet in Waterloo, Iowa. I don’t know about you, David, but where I come from all-you-can eat means you can eat whatever you want, whenever you want, as long as you have the money for it. Are we ready for an America that limits how much creamed corn you can put on your plate?”
